I know that blogging isn’t as popular as it used to be, and that many people now choose to do their over-sharing via a YouTube video. Or that Tiktok thing.
I am uncomfortable sharing information in any format. I have many ideas of WHAT I want to share, but there are all the little details you need to consider. Details, that with regular practice might actually become second nature, like image size, alt-text, titles, resolution, external links, etc. So, sometimes, I procrastinate and try to find ways around the jobs I don’t enjoy as much as making art.
But I know that when I go to a website that has a blog, it’s one of the first things I check.
I check to see how often they post and when they last posted. If I see that the last post was from 8 years ago–or even one year ago–my first thoughts are that the (person) doesn’t care much anymore, and the website has stagnated, or is altogether dead.
I admire people who can blog every day and never seem to run out of ideas and time. That will probably never be me. I always have lots of ideas; they just don’t revolve around blogging every day. Or even every other day.
So, the purpose of this post is to let you know (if you’re looking) that I am still here. Still plugging along in my little world of Art. Still trying. Still caring.
And if YOU have a blog that you no longer use, get rid of it! Just saying…
